Q: What version of J2ME are the generated midlets?
A: Most screens are MIDP 1.0 and CLDC 1.0 compatible. But there are new screens additional2.Form and ShowUrl, they are MIDP 2.0. The SendSms screen uses JSR 120 extension. There is also JSR 205 new version of JSR 120.

Q: What are the main advantages of Girtab?
A1: Simplicity - Girtab is simple but powerfull tool. It is not problem to make a midlet in several minutes.

A3: Java based - Girtab can be used on other operating systems. Do you use Linux? Install JRE and use it!

A: Yes, but it is simplified by possibilty to import screens from special prepared csv files.

Q: What are screens?
A: In Girtab the midlet is created by idea of screens. A list is a screen which allows for constructing a menu. A graphic is the screen for presenting graphics. An AnimatedSplash can contain animated graphics. There are other kind of screens.

Q: What are Query and SendHttp screens?
A: Using that screens allows for making simple system for making questionnaires. For example it can be used by people which make questionnaires. But not only. It is no problem to use this feature to allow for sending and retrieving other information from databases on server. So it is possible to make a system for selling tickets or other goods.

Q: What is ShowUrl screen?
A: With this screen it is possible to open a wap browser in mobile phone. There is also possibility to initiate a phone call.

A: This is a new Form which is MIDP 2.0 compatible. It can contain popup menus, links and buttons.
